Role Overview
As a Procurement Manager at Superior Performance, you are responsible for directing and coordinating the procurement of materials, components, supplies, and services essential to the operation of all product services in accordance with company policies. You will oversee the approval and control of all purchasing activities, make recommendations on improving the quality and cost of purchases, and handle special projects as assigned.
In this role, you will manage, develop, and maintain purchasing controls, supplier controls, and the control of outsourced processes. You will evaluate suppliers, both critical and non-critical, for their ability to meet business and customer requirements while considering price, availability, reliability, and technical support when pre-qualifying and re-qualifying suppliers in a manner that ensures customer service, productivity, and Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) standards are met or exceeded.

Design and maintain the Company’s purchasing processes, policies and Quality standards
-
Identify supply chain weaknesses and impact; advise top management; recommend improvements
-
Support the implementation of the company’s Purchasing Systems
-
Makes recommendations on improving the quality and cost of purchases
-
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
-
Conducts site assessments to evaluate suppliers’ ability to meet MS and client requirements
-
Assist in the Review of Requirements process and Contract Review when establishing new business
-
Identify corrective action regarding defective or unacceptable goods or services with staff and suppliers
-
Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure suppliers and supplies comply with SPI’s quality management system and to determine the need for changes
-
Follow Company procedures and work instructions

Attend Company required training, including client training requirements, demonstrate learning

Assess the risks of your work environment regularly by reviewing risk assessments and adhering to the Hazard identification and Job Safety Analysis programs.

Adhere to the Stop Work Authority Program: It is your responsibility and obligation to stop the work when perceiving an unsafe condition or behavior that could result in an unwanted event.

Understand and adhere to all Superior Performance Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) requirements as well as customer requirements

Report any incidents or any issues to your supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience based on management’s discretion Bachelor’s Degree a plus

Valid driver’s license

Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Satisfactory background check
